The TEMPUS600^® system is invented and patented by SARSTEDT ApS

The background for inventing of Tempus600^® was a request from Professor Dr. Ivan Brandslund from Sygehus Lillebaelt in Denmark. He had a vision to reduce the TAT time of the total process of a blood sample from today in average 3 hours to maximum 1 hour. He had only 3 demands:

1. No extra handling, send the sample as they are  
2. Don’t impact the blood values, they need to be reliable
3. Keep the FIFO – first in first out.

The vision from Mr. Brandslund of this solution is to expand the lab to all the hospital and create only one central lab and keep the high quality from the analyzing machines in the main lab – remove the expensive and not accurate POCT equipment. So what we did with this request was to make a dedicated system only for small clinical samples – nothing more – nothing less.

Our ideology is to make a system that will not demand any education but to be available for all the staff. We need to keep it simple and reliable – trust of that we will take care of the blood samples. As soon as you release the sample in Tempus600® you know and trust that the sample will be in the lab within seconds - as a matter of fact the sample is already there – that is the real value.

TAT should not be a matter of average it should be a matter of maximum. When you have an average time you will also have some TAT that are longer times to be in the lab. We provide maximum and not average. When you have an maximum time you can be focused on the patient and you can provide real value to the patient and also promises for answers.

STAT should not be an issue – all priorities should be made by the system and not by human. Off course these priorities are put into the machines by human but they will be the same very time and not decided from human to human and case to case.

So our ideology is very simple: Keep it dedicated, simple and reliable.
